Since my last post, I’ve watched a few more films:
This movie kept my interest in a similar way to others: by following a character’s rise in the world of crime. I also found it interesting seeing how people lived in the past and another country.
Another slow ‘thriller’, but a different concept. The main character voiced one of the actors in a childhood favourite (‘An American Tail: Fievel Goes West’).
This was an intriguing idea, and I was surprisingly not annoyed at the repetition as the movie leaped backwards. It definitely highlighted how each little chunk of memory changes the characters. With a movie like this, one expects a twist at the end. The twist fit in with the rest of the movie and the understanding of the main character’s condition, so I was satisfied.
Good sets, acting and not-annoying camera work. The plot was a little interesting, but perhaps obscured by the bloody parts (I’m not a fan, generally).
I’ve made a decision on the changes to the list, which I’ll share in my next films update post.
